We were absolutely thrilled to win the Great New Idea award at this year’s huge Foodex trade show at the NEC.
The Great New Idea competition invited exhibitors to put forward their best innovations of the last 12 months. A shortlist from over 80 entries was chosen by online votes from those planning to come to Foodex and other members of the food industry.
Our unique demand forecasting and production guidance system won after final judging by a panel which included the editors of trade titles such as Food Manufacture and The Grocer, both published by Foodex’s host William Reed Business Media.
As I said in my last blog, just getting shortlisted at all was very pleasing. It was great that our cutting-edge cloud software could jostle for pole-position amongst the latest in ovens, refrigeration units and so on.
However, even a short tour of some of the impressive hardware on show at Foodex on my arrival brought the stiffness of the competition we faced very much home to me. You can imagine my surprise when we were told we had won.
My heartfelt thanks go out to each and every one of you who voted for BakePlan before the show and, of course, a massive thank you to the judges. Also, a big shout out to everyone who has been in touch to congratulate us either directly or on social media or who visited our stand at the show.
